About the Role

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of NSW is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our compliance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective regulation of the energy sector in NSW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with the NSW Energy Savings Scheme and Peak Demand Reduction Scheme.
  • Undertake a range of compliance functions, including complaint assessment, intelligence gathering, audit analysis, enforcement, education, and stakeholder support.
  • Plan and conduct investigations into alleged breaches of the ESS and PDRS rules.
  • Prepare investigation reports and briefings, and make risk-based recommendations to management on appropriate compliance actions.
  • Plan, risk assess, and conduct regulatory site inspections.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in the formal conduct of investigations, with knowledge of contemporary investigation techniques, strategies, and legal requirements.
  • Experience undertaking a range of compliance-related activities in a complex environment.
  • Experience, knowledge, or qualifications in a relevant field, such as energy savings schemes and technologies, electrical/plumbing & drainage, or other relevant standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Ability to manage a case load, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel and work at locations throughout NSW.
  • Certificate IV (Government) Investigations or similar qualification, or preparedness to obtain the qualification through IPART-funded program.
  • Current Australian driver's licence.
