Job Overview

The role of a Trainer and Assessor is to deliver language, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills training to support individuals in achieving their goals. This involves engaging students, employing effective learning techniques, and maintaining a student-centred approach.

As a key member of our team, you will identify barriers to learning and develop strategies to support student attendance. You will also bring learning to life for students, using different forms of communication to achieve positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with diverse participants, be driven, supportive, and community-minded, and possess excellent skills in training facilitation and assessment within vocational areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver language, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills training
  • Identify barriers to learning and develop strategies to support student attendance
  • Bring learning to life for students, using different forms of communication to achieve positive outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current Cert IV TAE or Diploma in Adult Education plus Bachelor with TESOL, or
  • An undergraduate degree with a postgraduate qualification in TESOL or equivalent, or willingness to complete a postgraduate qualification in TESOL
  • Knowledge of the Australian Core Skills Framework is preferred
