Role Description:

Overview

We are seeking an Allied Health Professional to fill a Lead Practitioner position in the Child and Youth Mental Health Service.

This role involves providing clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team, delivering developmentally appropriate treatment for young people and their families.

The Role

The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team to provide high-standard clinical care within a designated program or region.

  • They will ensure service delivery is in accordance with evidenced-based practice, person-centred, trauma-informed care, and meets the requirements of relevant professional competencies.
  • They will contribute to the ongoing development of the program area through implementation of the model of care and operational service model.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide clinical services through complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies.
  2. Collaborate with team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services.
  3. Lead and mentor clinicians within the multidisciplinary team.
  4. Deliver comprehensive, developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed biopsychosocial mental health assessments and therapies.
  5. Provide clinical leadership within a designated program area, region, or statewide stream.
Location and Team:

The office is based in Devonport, and the Northwest Coast includes diverse communities with access to beaches and recreational activities.

Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range of $123,717 to $138,296 per annum, with 11.5% superannuation on top. Allowances and benefits include professional development allowances and travel/relocation assistance for eligible appointees.

Requirements:
  • Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program and registration with the relevant National Board.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.
