Conductor & Station Staff Opportunities

V/Line is seeking highly skilled and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Conductors and Station Staff. As a key member of our front-line customer service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our passengers and ensuring the safe operation of our trains.

About the Roles

As a V/Line Conductor, you will be responsible for delivering on-train customer service and ensuring the safety of our passengers. You will also be required to communicate accurate and timely information to customers, sell tickets, and assist with checked luggage and loading onto coaches.

As a Station Staff member, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operating facilities and customer services activities at the station. This will include maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the station, undertaking ticket sales, and assisting management with rostering and replacement staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to our passengers
  • Ensure the safe operation of our trains
  • Communicate accurate and timely information to customers
  • Sell tickets and assist with checked luggage and loading onto coaches
  • Manage the day-to-day operating facilities and customer services activities at the station
  • Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the station
  • Undertake ticket sales and assist management with rostering and replacement staff

Requirements

  • Strong safety awareness and alignment to V/Line's values
  • Confident and customer-focused individual with a background of face-to-face customer service
  • Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, early and late shifts
  • Valid driver's license
