Job Overview

The role of Senior Technical Designer plays a pivotal part in shaping technical solutions across multiple programs.

This position involves providing strategic and technical guidance while leading the design and documentation of solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of solution architectures for complex ICT programs.
  • Provide governance, technical direction, and oversight of solution development and integration.
  • Evaluate architectural options, ensuring cost-effectiveness, scalability, and performance.
  • Produce clear specifications for cloud-based and on-premises solutions.
  • Collaborate with Agile delivery teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational strategy.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • 3–5 years' experience as a Senior Technical Designer on large-scale transformation projects or programs.
  • Proven expertise across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, particularly Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of modern frameworks such as Blazor, React, and data microservices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering secure, fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications or industry certifications in Information Management, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with ArchiMate (3.1) for architecture documentation.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM, Kanban, or SAFe.
