About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team in Canberra.

  • As a key member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for managing and administering contracts from inception to completion.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in contract management, with experience in negotiating and drafting contracts.

You will work closely with our Project Manager to ensure that all contractual obligations are met, and that any changes or disagreements are resolved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Ensure all contractual obligations are met, including managing changes and resolving disagreements.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and issues, and propose mitigation actions to the Project Manager.
  • Contract Interpretation: Provide interpretation and advice on customer procurement policies, regulations, and contract requirements to stakeholders.
  • Internal Guidance: Offer internal guidance on contract obligations, requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive contract documentation and administration systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Operations, Business Development, and Finance to manage program financial arrangements, including milestone payments, cash flow management, and escalation provisions.
  • Health and Safety: Manage contractual health and safety compliance, supply chain assurance, and acceptance activities.
  • Bid and Proposal: Contribute to bid and proposal activities, including preparing commercial elements and participating in management reviews.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or Law.
  • Experience in contract management, supply chain, or procurement in contract and supplier management activities.
  • Ability to engage, influence, and build strong working relationships to achieve common goals and project objectives.
  • Expertise in stakeholder- and risk/opportunity management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work productively in team and autonomous environments.
  • Knowledge of ASDEFCON procurement and contract methodology (desirable).
  • Baseline Security Clearance.
