Overview


The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Leader to join our team as the Lead, Graduate Futures. This key role plays a critical part in shaping the future of UNSW students and alumni.


About the Role


We are looking for someone who can provide high-level advice and support to the Head of Employability, oversee strategic and operational activities, and enhance the student and alumni journey. The successful candidate will have extensive experience at a senior level in managing strategic initiatives, developing and delivering programs, and improving processes and systems.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Head of Employability on matters related to graduate futures.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the UNSW Employability Strategy, including communications plans and flagship initiatives.
  • Enhance the student and alumni journey by creating innovative content and digital engagement initiatives.
  • Support strategy implementation by assisting in the development and delivery of new programs and initiatives.
  • Lead analytics and performance improvement efforts, including institutional metrics and QS Employability.
  • Manage special projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Oversee communications and events, implementing the communications plan and managing content across digital and print media.

Requirements



  • Extensive experience at a senior level in managing strategic initiatives and implementing programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, coaching, and developing multi-disciplinary teams with operational management skills.
  • Significant experience in developing, delivering, and continually improving programs, processes, and systems.
  • High-level leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in writing high-quality analysis, submissions, reports, and recommendations.

Working Arrangements


The role offers flexible working arrangements, including remote work options, while being based in Sydney (Kensington Campus). Candidates must have full working rights, and this role is not available for sponsorship.
