Job Description

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Senior Community Relations and Stakeholder Advisor to join our Transport for Tomorrow team on the Rail Infrastructure Upgrades project. This role involves building trusted relationships with community members and stakeholders, identifying and mitigating potential impacts on them, and ensuring they receive accurate and engaging project communications.

This position requires strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working on major infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have recognised qualifications in communications or community engagement, and at least three years of hands-on experience in this field.

The successful candidate will work closely with the delivery team to understand the construction program, identify potential impacts, and develop strategies to mitigate these. They will also be responsible for day-to-day management of stakeholder and community issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.

Requirements
  • Recognised qualifications in communications or community engagement
  • At least three years of hands-on experience in stakeholder engagement and community relations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with community members and stakeholders
