About the Role

You'll be an integral part of the Infrastructure team as a Track Inspector for the North West, responsible for safety, maintenance, and inspection of any given section of track. This involves general inspections and detailed assessments of critical assets and priority faults.

Main Responsibilities
  • Inspect track sections, prioritizing faults according to business procedures and report on required renewal or maintenance works.
  • Attend incidents and faults when escalated and provide support to Skilled Operatives to rectify incidents or faults quickly.
  • Investigate and prepare technical, administrative, or incident reports to communicate work outcomes.
  • Certify track works completed by other parties as required.
  • Lead daily pre- and post-work meetings, demonstrating values to ensure the team behaves accordingly.
About You
  • Cert II in Rail Infrastructure (Track Work) is mandatory, while Cert III in Rail Infrastructure (Track Work) and Competency skill set for Track Inspection are also essential.
  • A current Victorian driver's license is required, alongside Qualified Safeworking Track Force Protection Co-ordinator 3.1 certification.
  • First Aid Certified Level 2 and prior experience as a Track Way Maintainer with track maintenance or renewal experience are highly valued.
