
Professional Casework Lead

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Professional in Casework to lead our team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting case management staff to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with children, young people, their families, carers, and other important individuals in the formulation and implementation of case plans.
- Collaborate and partner with internal and external stakeholders to improve service delivery, develop practice, and achieve care goals for children and young people.
- Conduct assessments, planning, reviews, and referrals for children and young people with complex support needs using endorsed procedures and tools.
- Ensure written materials meet high-quality, evidence-informed standards and comply with policy, legislation, and regulations.
- Lead teams in best practice assessment, planning, and evaluation processes.
- Provide regular supervision, coaching, development, and support to case management staff for quality outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A recognised degree qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Nursing, or Mental Health, or a recognised Diploma in a related field with relevant experience.
- A current driver's licence.
- Extensive experience in assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of case management and client support services.
- Demonstrated understanding of current casework practice for children and young people, including trauma-informed, permanency-focused, and therapeutic case plans.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals, families, or groups from a strengths-based and culturally appropriate perspective.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership/management, coaching, mentoring, and providing support and training to managers and staff.
- Excellent written communication skills for report creation, correspondence, and other material.
