Executive Sous Chef Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader in the culinary world to lead our Flight Catering team at Perth Airport.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of airline food quality, overseeing planning and execution, managing resources and labor, and collaborating with the wider business.

  • Maintain and deliver exceptional airline food quality across all classes.
  • Oversee departmental planning and execution activities to ensure budgeted production targets are achieved.
  • Coordinate labour, resources, materials and equipment to ensure efficient execution of operational plans.
  • Manage food catering operations, including meal presentations, charter catering, menu changes and audits.
  • Foster continuous efficiency and productivity improvement.
  • Develop and motivate the Kitchen team.
  • Adhere to company food safety and health policies.
  • Minimize waste and maintain cost controls.
  • Maintain up-to-date training for all Kitchen staff.
  • Collaborate with the wider business to align production operations with overall strategy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade qualified with experience minimum to Sous Chef Level or higher.
  • Exposure to large or bulk catering facilities in manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of food safety / HACCP / WHS and QA principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time and interpersonal management skills.
  • Experience in managing a cross-functional team.
  • Prior Airline Catering experience is highly desirable but not essential.
