Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned journalist with a deep understanding of the Pacific region and its people. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience working in a professional newsroom environment and is well-versed in journalism principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive coverage plans that cater to diverse audiences
  • Edit and refine English language content to meet high standards of clarity, grammar and flow
  • Publish engaging stories on our website and social media platforms
  • Collaborate with journalists and stringers from around the world to ensure seamless execution of editorial tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years experience as a journalist in a professional newsroom environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field
  • Excellent writing, editing and research skills
  • Detailed knowledge of the Pacific region's languages, customs and history
