The Role:

As a critical member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our rail maintenance projects. You will be responsible for maintaining safe working environments on track, assisting in rail maintenance activities, and ensuring adherence to rail safety regulations and procedures.

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The role involves both day and night shifts, providing a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to contribute to Australia's rail network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict compliance with rail safety regulations and procedures at all times.
  • Monitor and maintain safe working environments for all personnel on-site.
  • Assist in rail maintenance activities, including setting up and maintaining safety zones.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and safe operations.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and report hazards or safety concerns immediately.
  • Adhere to company values and work efficiently to meet project goals.

Requirements:

  • Hold current Sydney Trains COC's and ARTC competencies.
  • Maintain a minimum Protection Officer Level 2 certification.
  • Hold a Safeworking Level 1 ticket.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Hand signalling Level 2.
  • Possess experience transferring track machines within the Sydney Trains network.
  • Show demonstrated communications with Network Operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network Rules and Procedures.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
