Corporate Affairs Director

Airwallex is a leading financial technology platform empowering businesses to accept payments, move money globally, and simplify their financial operations. We're seeking a seasoned corporate communicator to help build and protect our brand in the ANZ region.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder communications strategy for Airwallex's Americas business.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Affairs team to update our messaging playbook and key policy issues.
- Represent Airwallex as a key spokesperson and manage press office duties for the Americas region.
- Initiate campaigns to position Airwallex as a thought leader in tech and business, partnering with marketing and sales colleagues.
- Provide counsel as a trusted advisor, assess reputational risk matters, and handle sensitive and crisis communication.
- Implement external and internal communication efforts in ANZ, including corporate, product, customer, and partnership announcements.
- Supervise agency relationships and optimize output.
- Domain knowledge in public affairs, policy development, media relations, and internal and external communications.
- Direct experience working with journalists, producers, and editors.
- Understanding of leading industry groups and thought-leading organizations.
- Proven track record of delivering tangible outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong executive presence.
- Strong management skills and ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Experience working across international markets with a culturally diverse team.
- Proven consensus-building and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to problem-solve, test, and learn.
