The role of Strategic Cost Manager is crucial in driving the successful implementation of cost planning procedures and processes. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the cost planning team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the cost planning team, providing guidance and support to analysts and less experienced staff.
  • Implement, monitor and execute cost planning activities and programs, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with organisational policies.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring the effective delivery of cost planning outcomes.

As a Strategic Cost Manager, you will also maintain current knowledge of cost planning developments and requirements, applying your expertise to provide specialised subject matter knowledge and supervising the application of cost planning methods, techniques and strategies.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need relevant tertiary qualifications in a related technical discipline, combined with appropriate subject matter knowledge and demonstrable experience with developed people manager skills. You should be able to promote a positive team environment and foster a collaborative approach to problem solving.
