Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Canteen Assistant at our esteemed institution. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the canteen operations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

The Canteen Assistant will be required to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to ensure a smooth and efficient service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the school canteen, including supervision of staff and volunteers
  • Manage the QKR app and ensure transactions are accurate
  • Prepare and serve food for recess and lunch orders
  • Maintain cleanliness of the canteen at all times
  • Undertake termly stock takes and maintain records for food safety compliance
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and visitors
  • Handle cash securely and restrict entry to authorized personnel only
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested

  • Previous experience in a similar role or an equivalent level of education and training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
