About This Opportunity


We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team at our Dandenong facility on a Fixed Term 12-month contract. As a key member of our procurement team, you will leverage your strategic procurement expertise to drive success in a new and exciting field.



Your Key Responsibilities



  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes for the company, ensuring successful supplier relationships and agreements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to guarantee their optimal performance and strategic alignment.
  • Prioritize sourcing projects Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Technology (QCDT) to maintain project timelines and budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the sourcing strategy aligns with company goals and project requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with sourcing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements


To succeed in this role, you should possess:



  • A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or experience in a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively represent commodities towards projects and teams.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Knowledge of commodity strategy development and execution.
  • Experience or understanding of supplier relationship management and negotiation.
  • Analytical skills to support Commodity Manager in tender phases.
