About Our Opportunity

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on Ventora Group's success by overseeing all aspects of indirect spend category and acquisition.

As the National Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for securing the best services and products at competitive prices for our nationwide operations.

You will manage supplier relationships with key service providers and manufacturers to ensure adherence to relevant Australian building codes and regulations.

The role will play a key role in our continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline procurement processes and optimize overall indirect material purchasing costs.

You will also be required to regularly review, plan, and execute in-market delivery programs to maximize service level, safety, and performance in our organization.

About You

We are seeking a Procurement Manager with a background in building products or manufacturing, expertise in manufacturing services, utilities, market trends, and negotiation strategies.

As a people person with the ability to influence external suppliers and service internal stakeholders, your strengths will be your high level of communication skills, technical aptitude, and analytical skills.

Required qualifications and experience include:

  • Experience in procurement category management
  • Tertiary qualifications in Inventory/Procurement, e.g. APICS or CIPS, along with Accounting, Business, Commerce, or equivalent, desirable
  • Experience managing third-party carriers for ocean freight and customs is required
  • Experience implementing plans and delivering outcomes consistently within a multifunctional environment
