We are seeking a skilled Technical Officer to join our Microbiology department at NSW Health Pathology. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality pathology services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a range of laboratory investigations and tests, applying established methods and procedures.
- Undertake technical tasks, including preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment, in line with established laboratory processes and protocols.
- Minimum qualification of Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of pathology services within a discipline relevant to the Microbiology department.
- Ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner, managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Customer-focused approach, displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills.
- Display initiative, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including an ability to apply established principles in a pathology laboratory.
