Logistics Manager Job Summary

This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to oversee the coordination, procurement, and vendor management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with optimal carriers and service providers;
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with suppliers and trucking companies;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and suppliers;
  • Contribute to purchasing and distribution policies;
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and accurate documentation;
  • Track key performance indicators and implement improvements;
  • Manage storage solutions and coordinate with third-party warehouses;
  • Promote a collaborative environment and ensure high levels of communication and service delivery;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field;
  • Proven track record of successfully coordinating domestic and international freight movements;
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency with freight forwarding software (CargoWise) and/or ERP systems for shipment tracking and performance analysis;
  • Strong analytical abilities, including rate comparisons, and data-driven decision-making;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and clients;
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including team-building, conflict resolution, and performance management in a fast-paced environment;
  • Additional Attributes: Familiarity with customs regulations and international trade compliance is highly desirable;
