Programs Technician for Children and Youth

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join our team as a Programs Technician for Children and Youth. This role involves contributing to the delivery of diverse programs to meet the needs of our community, developing new and innovative programs that focus on children and youth, and providing support in shift supervision during operational shifts.

About the Role:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of programs for children and youth.
  • Develop new and innovative programs that focus on children and youth.
  • Provide support in shift supervision during operational shifts.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and welcoming library environment.
  • Assist customers with library technology and provide reader advisory services.

About You:

  • You will have exceptional customer service skills and enthusiasm to help our diverse range of public library users.
  • You will have a passion for working with children and young adults.
  • You will have a diploma in Library Information Services or a degree in a related field and TAFE Cert IV in Library and Information Services.
  • You will have at least 2 years' experience working in a library.
  • You will have experience in providing a range of children and youth programs for libraries or related institutions.
  • You will have experience in supervising staff.
  • You will have exceptional teamwork skills and proven ability to work independently.
  • You will have an adaptable approach to tasks and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • You will have an enthusiasm for technology and the ability to assist customers in the use of library technologies.

  • A commencing annual salary ranging from $71,817.54 - $80,367.25 + superannuation.
