About the OpportunityThis position offers an exciting chance to join our dynamic Maritime team working on the Hobart Class. Reporting to the Engineering Manager and Platform Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate, safe, and timely mechanical engineering services that meet approved standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality mechanical engineering outputs and technical support for development or modification of equipment, systems, and materials.
- Lead and develop the technical team to ensure effective delivery of engineering output and provide technical guidance as needed.
- Promote best practices and ensure integrity in all mechanical engineering outputs and services.
This role demands strong foundational knowledge in mechanical engineering, project management acumen, and excellent communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
About YouWe're looking for someone with:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, or Marine Engineering.
- Proven experience working as a mechanical engineer with a track record of managing projects and teams.
- The ability to communicate effectively and operate in a dynamic setting.
Prior experience in naval/maritime is highly beneficial. A current NV1 Clearance or eligibility to obtain is required.
