Steel Yard Forklift Position Available

We're currently recruiting for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy steel yard team in Townsville.

  • This is a great opportunity for someone with a valid Forklift Licence (LF) and previous experience operating counterbalance and high reach forklifts in a warehouse or factory setting.

You will play a key role in ensuring the safe movement, loading and organisation of steel materials for delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Safely operating forklifts to transport prefabricated steel kits to customers on time.
  • Picking and packing prefabricated steel kits, including sheds, fencing and carports.
  • Reading and following pick lists or job sheets with confidence.
  • FOLLOWING SITE SAFETY RULES AND USING PPE CORRECTLY AT ALL TIMES.
  • Working as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver results.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A current Forklift Licence (LF).
  • Previous experience using forklifts in a warehouse, factory or similar environment.
  • To be physically fit and aware of safe manual handling practices.
  • Strong awareness of workplace safety and a commitment to adhering to company protocols.
  • To pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
