Job Opportunity: Anaesthesia Veterinary Nurse
We are seeking an experienced Anaesthesia Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Seven Animal Health. This is a full-time position in a brand new 24hr emergency and specialist hospital located in the Sutherland Shire, close to the stunning Southern beaches of Sydney.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Anaesthesia Veterinary Nurse to work with a brand new 1.5T MRI, a 64 slice CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, digital radiology and ultrasound, as well as an Advanced Treatment Centre (ATC). Our team is passionate about providing high-quality cutting-edge care, and pride themselves as being innovative and leaders in the veterinary emergency and specialist arena.
Responsibilities
- Set up treatment and anaesthesia sheets for surgery patients and round with surgeons to ensure proper drug protocols.
- Review patient records, perform pre-op TPR's, place IV catheters, pre-med, and induce and monitor anaesthesia.
- Recover patients and round with treatment nurses when they are ready to transfer.
- Ensure treatment sheets are set up according to surgeon preferences with proper recording of all anaesthesia events and surgical items used.
- Assist medicine or ER with any anaesthesia needs and round with Medicine and ER.
- Conduct general daily maintenance checks on all hospital anaesthesia machines, and monitoring ventilator patients.
Requirements
- An experienced Anaesthesia Veterinary Nurse.
