We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Optimizer to join our team. As a key member of our process engineering department, you will play a vital role in streamlining chemical processes and enhancing sustainable practices.

About the Role
  • Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to safety protocols, mitigating hazards, and monitoring chemical levels on a daily basis.
  • You will be responsible for managing chemical resources, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and maintaining inventory of consumables and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting complex chemical dosing systems and coordinating maintenance efforts will also be part of your duties.
  • In addition, you will provide technical support and optimize dosing systems for improved performance and efficiency.
  • Frequent paper testing will be required to meet quality standards.
  • Collaboration with production teams, sourcing chemicals, and assisting during maintenance and shutdowns will also be essential.
  • You will establish and maintain relationships with chemical suppliers to stay informed about chemicals and dosing systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent scientific qualification is necessary.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience; recent graduates with FMCG manufacturing, paper & pulp mill, heavy industrial, or oil and gas internship experience are preferred.
  • Able to optimize chemical usage and control costs effectively.
  • Experience in testing and process monitoring of chemical systems in manufacturing environments.
  • High-level communication skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Collaborative, flexible, team-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.
