Process Optimization Specialist

About this role
The Co-Gen plant at our facility allows us to divert rejected material from our paper machine away from landfill and create both steam and electricity through cogeneration. The steam is used in the paper manufacturing process, while the electricity runs the paper-making machines.
Key responsibilities include facilitating safe, reliable, low-cost steam supply for use in the paper making process, coordinating maintenance and reliability tasks, conducting efficiency assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance plant operational effectiveness.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering, or a related field. Strong communication skills are essential to form strong relationships with stakeholders on all levels, as well as strong computer proficiency. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex production issues under pressure is also required.
