Job Title: Optical Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Optical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing patients for eye tests, and assisting optometrists with pre-testing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Selecting and recommending frames to patients based on their personal preferences and prescription requirements.
  • Preparing patient information and equipment for eye tests, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Assisting optometrists with pre-testing procedures, including measuring visual acuity and observing the retina.
  • Handling cash transactions and operating a point of sale system, maintaining accurate records and processing orders efficiently.
  • Processing collections and handling cash transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible hours and weekend availability to accommodate varying customer needs.
  • Part-time hours may vary but typically 30 per week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements:

  • A valid work authorization in Australia is required to work in this role.
