Bridgestone Mining Solutions is a renowned market leader in the OTR tyre industry, celebrated for its global reputation for quality products, continuous improvement, and cutting-edge technology application.

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to oversee both businesses from our state-of-the-art BMSA Head Office in Sydney Olympic Park, NSW.

This leadership role will involve guiding a team of approximately seven, covering Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Credit Control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team to deliver excellence in Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Credit Control.
  • Achieve and maintain the highest Corporate Governance standards, encompassing BMSA and Otraco's Statutory obligations (Financial Reports, BAS, GST, FBT, Income Tax reporting, Audits, Group Consolidation).
  • Coordinate and supervise the bi-annual stocktake and fixed asset audit.
  • Oversee, review, and approve monthly and year-end reconciliations and schedules, including General Ledger balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure a true and accurate financial position for inclusion in the monthly management reports.
Requirements
  • Relevant accounting qualifications, CPA, or CA level, or equivalent overseas certification.
  • Five years of industry experience as a Senior Financial Accountant or three years as a Finance Manager.
  • Advanced expertise with ERP accounting software.
  • Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
  • Proven ability to develop a team with a strong customer service culture.
  • Experience in maintaining the highest standards in Corporate Governance and Industry Standard Protocols.
  • Demonstrated history managing all corporate and consolidated reporting requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
  • An effective collaborator/influencer across all levels of the business.
  • Team management experience and proven results in staff empowerment.
  • Acceptance of occasional interstate travel.
  • Current work rights in Australia.
