Financial Director Role

Weir Minerals is seeking a Financial Director to lead the commercial finance team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for managing financial functions and ensuring the delivery of financial initiatives that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial expertise to assist business units in obtaining orders while ensuring sales pursuits align with corporate requirements and achieve adequate margins.
  • Offer advice to commercial directors based on financial and commercial analysis and insights.
  • Participate in evaluating strategies to pursue opportunities like launching new products, creating new service centers, and acquiring new businesses.
  • Manage the preparation of major contract and service reports to enable informed decisions.
  • Lead core financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting.
  • Analyze and interpret financial information to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in a similar role, including extensive FP&A experience, sales incentive reporting, change management, and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of financial control, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and develop finance teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical analysis skills.
