Job Role: Electrical Trades Assistant

About This Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Trades Assistant to join our team on the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.

HumeLink is a significant infrastructure project that will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW, increasing the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states.

The role involves assisting tradespeople with substation works, performing assembly and dismantling operations, and obtaining store supplies necessary to complete tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist tradespeople with substation works, including handing tools and materials as required;
  • Perform assembly and dismantling operations, such as screwing and bolting;
  • Obtain store supplies necessary to complete tasks, including both materials and suitable tools;
  • Transport tools, materials and work pieces to and from sites or workbenches;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • White Card;
  • Drivers Licence;
  • High Risk Work Licence – Work Platform;
  • Working at Heights/Confined Spaces;
  • High risk work licenses for EWP, forklift or telehandler (Desirable);
  • Ideal experience working on a substation before.
