About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Coatings Project Manager to join our team at Forest Glen, QLD. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and completing assigned painting projects to the highest quality standards. You will work on a variety of projects, ensuring that the final product is both aesthetically pleasing and durable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed.
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Follow safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Select appropriate materials and tools for each job.
  • Repair and fill cracks, holes, and other imperfections before painting.
  • Mix and match paints to ensure accurate colours.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean and organized before and after the job.
  • Collaborate with the team to complete projects on time and to customer satisfaction.

About You:

  • You should have proven experience as a professional Painter.
  • You should have strong knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation.
  • You should have strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Able to read blueprints, plans, and specifications is a plus.
  • You should be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • The ability to read and write, along with arithmetic skills, is crucial.
  • Able to use hand tools and operate basic machinery.

A competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
