Job Description">

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cybersecurity professional to join our team as a Security Architect. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing secure-by-design patterns across a variety of technologies, with a strong emphasis on cloud security.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in cybersecurity architecture, ideally within the financial services industry. They will also possess strong expertise in both AWS and Azure cloud security architectures, proficiency with threat analysis frameworks, and solid knowledge of regulatory standards such as APRA CPS 234, and security frameworks like NIST CSF and the Essential 8.

The Security Architect will work collaboratively with client stakeholders, project teams, and internal colleagues to ensure security considerations are addressed early and effectively. They will also be responsible for optimising processes and architectural approaches to improve security and operational efficiency for both clients and the organisation.

  • Design, develop, and implement secure-by-design patterns across a variety of technologies.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver pragmatic, security-focused solutions.
  • Provide expert guidance on cloud and SaaS transformation projects, ensuring security is integrated effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to ensure security considerations are addressed early and effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in cybersecurity architecture.
  • Strong expertise in both AWS and Azure cloud security architectures.
  • Proficiency with threat analysis frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory standards such as APRA CPS 234, and security frameworks like NIST CSF and the Essential 8.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP or SABSA are highly regarded.
