Community Services Directorate (CSD) is seeking a skilled Health Liaison Officer to join the CYF Operations Branch. This role will support the functions of Youth Justice and Adolescent Services (YJAS) and Child, Youth and Family Safety (CYFS) by effectively communicating and advocating for relevant services for children and young people involved with CYF.
Key Responsibilities:- Support practitioners to effectively communicate and advocate for relevant services for children and young people involved with CYF.
- Represent CYF at local and national forums.
- Work in tandem with the ACT Health Liaison Officer to improve coordination and collaboration between CYF and non-government out of home care providers and ACT Health.
- Provide support to agencies to improve processes between organisations.
- Develop and implement projects to improve communication and collaboration between CYF and ACT Health.
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Welfare, Social Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years' experience working in human services fields.
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
- Prior to commencement, a current National Police Check is required.
- Driver's license (C class) is essential.
