Design Lead for Activewear

This role involves designing and developing apparel products, collaborating with designers, product developers, and buying teams.

About the Role:
  • Reporting to Head of Design
  • Responsible for design and development of apparel products

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Creating and executing design concepts
  • Trend forecasting and concept development
  • Ahead of season sourcing - fabric and trims
  • Range building and sketching
  • Creating thorough tech packs and inputting to PLM system
  • Working with garment technician to perfect fits
  • Liaising with offshore suppliers

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years in a similar role
  • Thrives in a busy environment
  • Demonstrated experience across product development within retail industry
  • Strong design eye and obsession with fashion and lifestyle trends
  • Understanding of fashion and activewear fabrications, silhouettes, and construction techniques
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and collaboration
  • Experience with pre-production approval processes
  • Be customer-focused and commercial
  • High level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Affiliation with company core values and 'Make it Happen' attitude
  • Ability to create prints and repeats is highly advantageous
