Project Coordinator Role

We are seeking an experienced project coordinator to support the delivery of a major sustaining capital project in the Pilbara.

This is a site-based role working within a well-established project structure, reporting into the NPI Superintendent and collaborating with a team of four other coordinators.

The primary responsibility is to coordinate day-to-day activities across workshops, camps, laydown areas, and associated facilities.

Oversight of contractor activities is essential, focusing on safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Close collaboration with the Area Manager NPI and Construction Manager ensures alignment with project objectives.

The successful candidate will provide interface support and resolve on-site construction issues as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate NPI works across various locations
  • Oversight of contractor activities with emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure project objectives are met
  • Resolve on-site construction issues

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in NPI delivery, preferably in workshops, laydowns, camps, or similar assets
  • Background in bulk earthworks or civil construction is highly valued
  • Rio Tinto experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills
