About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Next Gen Talent. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food quality and service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Indian food, including Tandoori, Indochinese, and Dosas, to the highest standards.
- Manage kitchen production to achieve consistency and deliver exceptional products and service.
- Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies for dine-in customers, functions, and catering orders.
- Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
- Ensure high-level kitchen standards and quality are maintained.
- Assist in the efficient running of kitchen operations.
- Deliver outstanding food in taste and presentation.
- Discuss food preparation issues with the manager/owner and kitchen staff.
- Ensure all kitchen staff understand expectations and parameters of kitchen goals and daily kitchen work.
- Demonstrate techniques and advise on cooking procedures.
- Ensure all food operations are compliant with relevant regulations.
- Participate in cost controlling and waste management of food.
- Maintain updated knowledge of local competition and restaurant industry trends.
Requirements:
- Be qualified in hospitality with an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or have minimum three years' experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years full-time experience as a Chef.
