Wedding & Events Co-ordinator

**Springfield House - A Weddings and Special Events Functions Centre, located in the beautiful Hills District, are looking for a driven and passionate Wedding/Events Co-ordinator.**

**As Wedding & Events Co-Ordinator, your responsibilities will include the following but not limited to**:

- In collaboration with the Events Manager, client, plan and organise all events and functions ranging from Weddings, social events and conferences from conception through to execution on the day
- Meeting clients and conducting venue tours as required
- Ensure there is a staff briefing before the start of every event, communicating flow of service and any special instructions
- Ensure rooms are set up completely and correctly at the start of every event, with chairs, settings, centerpieces, bridal table set with a cake table ready.
- Coordinate menu's, floor plans, function set ups and event orders
- Updating our CRM databases with new and existing clients
- Liaison & collaboration with other department heads to ensure all preparations, staffing, ordering for the functions and events are communicated effectively and all tasks are actioned and completed
- After hours, off site and weekend work may be required pending operation requirements and events
- Hands on, operation support on the day of the event when required
- Handling all logistics and details of the wedding day, including overseeing setup, coordination with vendors, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
- Communicating regularly with clients and other vendors to ensure a successful wedding.
- Being available on weekends for weddings and events
- Working as part of a team, alongside our Event Manager, Room Supervisors, Head Chef and providing tasks to other team members as required

**To be successful in this role you must have**:

- 2 + years industry related experience (required)
- An experienced proven track record in the coordination, managing of Functions and Events
- Fantastic communication and customer service skills, with the proven ability to liaise management, staff & guests
- Exceptional organisational and administrative skills with a strong attention to detail, have the ability to multitask & manage time effectively and problem-solve
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Canva, Figma experience would be advantageous.
- Hands on food and beverage service experience preferable but not essential
- A great team player, who proactively looks to assist where possible.
- Knowledge of wedding etiquette and trends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly and outgoing personality.
- Passion for the wedding industry
- Tertiary qualifications in Events Planning, Management, or equivalent.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
- RSA Photo Competency Card.

This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth within the company. Our working schedule is very flexible during the week as most of our work falls on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays).
