Financial Crime Data Analytics

This job involves leading audits to identify and mitigate financial crime risks, utilizing data analytics tools and techniques. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement effective strategies for risk management.

Responsibilities include defining the data analytics approach, sourcing relevant datasets, and communicating testing approaches and results to technical and non-technical audiences.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analytics, particularly in audit, risk, or assurance functions, as well as a strong understanding of financial crime data. They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with advanced SQL, Python, and data visualization expertise.

Additionally, they should have a Bachelor's Degree in a numerate area or equivalent experience in technology or computer science.

Required Skills:
  • Proven years of experience within a Data Analytics team in Audit, Risk or Assurance functions, or in Financial Services industry
  • Extensive experience in synthesizing detailed information and extracting relevant key concepts
  • Ability to connect data insights to business risks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with advanced SQL, Python and data visualisation expertise
  • Working knowledge of Databricks, AWS and Azure
