Inventory Manager

Job Summary
This is a dynamic and results-driven role that oversees the daily management of inventory, including safe and timely ordering, receipting, and storing of stock. It involves creating and managing purchase orders for both stocked and non-stocked items, collaborating with suppliers to meet business needs, and maintaining optimal stock levels.
Main Responsibilities
- Raising purchase orders for inventory items
- Assisting with the tendering process and gathering information from suppliers
- Maintaining maximum stock levels and analyzing obsolete inventory reports
- Undertaking cyclical inventory counts and tracking key consumables
- Operating and maintaining the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner
- Performing storeman duties as needed and backfilling when required
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure smooth delivery and dispatch processes
- Developing and implementing inventory procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualifications in logistics or business administration, or relevant experience
- Proven work experience in purchasing or a similar field, including warehouse skills
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices and ability to research, evaluate, and liaise with vendors
- Hands-on experience with purchasing software (Pronto is an advantage)
- Understanding of supply chain procedures and analytical skills
- Computer skills, with proficiency in MS Excel
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- A current C class driver's license and forklift certification
