About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate PASDS Practitioner to join our team at Anglicare Victoria. As a key member of our Parenting Assessment and Skill Development Service, you will work with families across the Loddon catchment to provide independent, specialised assessments and reports on the health, development, safety, and wellbeing of vulnerable infants and young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive in-home or day-stay assessments to observe the strengths, skills, and abilities of parents and caregivers.
  • Develop and implement intensive skill development services to support parents in safely caring for and nurturing their children.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Child Protection, Children's Court, and case managers, to ensure the best possible outcomes for infants and families.
  • Apply relevant theoretical approaches to practice, including theories of child attachment, development, and abuse.
  • Maintain best practice while working under challenging circumstances, such as trauma exposure.
  • Work in genuine partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities to strengthen outcomes and promote cultural connection.
