Community Support Specialist

About the Role:

This is an opportunity to join our team as a Community Support Specialist and make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families in need.

As a Community Support Specialist, you will provide support and guidance to clients who are experiencing mental health issues, helping them to access appropriate services and resources.

Key Responsibilities include: providing information and education to clients, carers, and service providers; referring and assisting clients to access specialist services and support groups; evaluating efficacy of interventions and modifying safety, support and recovery plans where necessary.

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum Diploma level in Mental Health, Community Services, Counselling or Social Work;
  • Bachelor's degree in Counselling or Psychology or equivalent;
  • 1-2 years' experience in a mental health related service;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding around case managing vulnerable, disadvantaged and complex needs clients.
