- Provide leadership responsibility in health, safety, and environment management.
- Contribute to the development of work methods and rolling short-term construction programs.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships through positive, proactive, and professional communication.
- Ensure compliance with commercial and financial costs, including budgets and the implications of directions within your authority limits.
- Read and understand plans, review design documentation, and provide constructive review and implementation of final designs.
- Ensure contractual mechanisms of subcontracts are being adhered to and implemented.
- Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk, and contribute to building a risk management culture.
- Maintain effective consultation with various workers' representatives and committees on industrial and safety subjects.
- Trade qualification or qualifications and training, e.g., Diploma, Building/Construction, Project Management, Surveyor, frontline management, agricultural management, Vegetation management, etc.
- Worksite Protection at the required PO2 level.
- Current Class 1 (Minimum) Driving License.
- 5 years previous rail experience in a similar role.
- Technical competencies required in vegetation management, drainage, fencing, roads, or civil earthworks.
