About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Equity Outreach Program Advisor to join our team. This role will involve working collaboratively across departments to support the development and delivery of our 'I Belong' equity outreach program.

The 'I Belong' approach inspires and builds tertiary engagement for secondary school students through applied learning programs that give selected schools the opportunity to explore a university campus and discover their future possibilities through tertiary study.

You will be involved in developing, coordinating, and implementing discipline-specific programs for students from Schools Network Access Program (SNAP) schools, as well as workshops on aspiration building, pathway exploration, and discipline tasters.

This role will require you to collaborate with internal stakeholders in various portfolios, colleges, and schools, including our centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students. External partners include over 200 Victorian secondary schools in our RMIT SNAP Partnership.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate equity programs that meet community needs.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver events and projects related to equity outreach.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners to achieve defined outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse groups of people through public speaking and liaison.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams to achieve identified goals.
