Removalist - Alice Springs, NT

Amentum is seeking a skilled Removalist to join their team in Alice Springs, NT.

As a Removalist, you will be responsible for transporting furniture and white goods between the warehouse and residential properties, effectively utilizing associated equipment and transport. You will also pack, unpack, scan, label, and load items securely and safely for transport, construct new furniture, and assist with on-the-job training for new employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport furniture and white goods between the warehouse and residential properties
- Effectively utilize associated equipment and transport
- Pack, unpack, scan, label, and load items securely and safely for transport
- Construct new furniture
- Assist with on-the-job training for new employees
- Report any incidents to management as a priority
- Use of existing workplace systems to record and plan work tasks
- Work as part of a team
- Assist in other areas of logistics support as required
- Work to ensure that safety is an integral part of everyday activities
Requirements:
- Current Drivers License
- Ability to safely undertake a wide range of transport activities
- Ability to understand written instructions
- Ability to work professionally with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete assigned tasks
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues and develop solutions to problems
- It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance, applicants with a current clearance will be viewed favorably
Desirable:
- Experience in the transport industry
- Forklift License
- HR License
Statement of Work Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to fluently read, write, and speak English
- Australian or US citizen
EHS Requirement:
All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health, and safety requirements. While Amentum is responsible for providing a safe workplace and is responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements of the Handbook, each person is responsible for:
- Completing work tasks in a safe manner
- Reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor and/or PMO/EHS Manager
- Continuous adherence to the environmental, health, and safety procedures outlined in the Handbook during the performance of their work
- Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to "STOP WORK" if a job is unsafe or possess a danger to the environment
