About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Worker to join our team at Wellways Australia Limited. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to young people in our out-of-home care program.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver a range of services to young people, including assistance with daily life, social and community participation, and skill development activities. You will work closely with our team to create a safe and stable environment that promotes the well-being and independence of our young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and care to young people in our out-of-home care program
  • Assist with daily life activities, including personal care, domestic tasks, and social and community participation
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote the skills and independence of young people
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the safety and well-being of young people
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate 4 in a recognized area, with a willingness to work towards or enroll in further qualifications
  • Current drivers' license
  • Ability to work a range of shifts, including sleepovers and weekends
  • Police clearance, not less than 12 months old
  • Blue Card (current) and NDIS Workers Screening Check/Yellow Card (current)
  • Completed Hope and Healing Framework Foundation Training
  • Current First Aid certification
