About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Worker to join our team at Wellways Australia Limited. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering services that support young people to live fulfilling and meaningful lives in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a variety of services to young people to support them in their daily lives, including personal care, domestic activities, social and community participation, and skill development activities.
  • Assist young people in learning life skills, such as cooking healthy meals and making good life choices.
  • Encourage and teach improved health and hygiene practices.
  • Work with youth who display complex behaviours and provide support to help them navigate through their emotions and challenges.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and stable living environment that promotes the well-being and independence of young people.

Requirements

  • Minimum Certificate 4 in a recognised area, with a willingness to work towards or enrol in further qualifications.
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Ability to do sleepovers and shift work, including weekends.
  • Police clearance, NDIS Workers Screening Check, and Blue Card.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate and Hope and Healing Framework Foundation Training.
  • Current First Aid certification.
