About the Role

The Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport and Sir Stamford Circular Quay are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reservations Manager Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the Reservations Department, you will be responsible for promoting and selling hotel accommodation, services, and facilities to corporate accounts, travel agents, and tour operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Reservations Manager in the daily operations of the Reservations Department
  • Develop strong relationships with corporate accounts, travel agents, and tour operators to ensure 5-star customer service
  • Manage group reservations and revenue-related statistics
  • Work closely with hotel management to maximize revenue across all distribution channels
  • Establish strong relationships with clients and monitor group block and pick up/no-shows and cancellations
  • Train reservations and front office team members
  • Manage third-party websites and ensure accurate and timely updates
  • Implement incentives to promote upselling within the reservations team
  • Assist with processing travel agent commissions

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in reservations/front office, with group reservations experience essential
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills
  • Passion for maximizing revenue
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy reservations system
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong motivator in a team environment
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, team members, and management
  • Proficient in hotel systems, including GDS, Channel Managers, OPERA, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
