About the Role

The Chef de Partie is a key position that oversees a section of the kitchen, working closely with the Executive Chef to ensure daily food preparation and management meet culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes according to menu guidelines.
  • Oversee the readiness and quality of assigned kitchen sections.
  • Sustain excellence in presentation, portioning, and quality of each dish.
  • Support junior staff in their development and training.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation in assigned sections.
  • Implement outstanding hygiene, food safety (HACCP), and OH&S protocols.
  • Foster a positive and professional team environment.
  • Remain composed under pressure during peak service periods.
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2–3 years experience as Chef de Partie or senior cook, ideally within a hotel/banquet/restaurant setting.
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Holding appropriate work rights/work visa in Australia.
