Pipeline Integrity Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the structural and operational integrity of external pipelines. As a Pipeline Integrity Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all pipeline-related activities meet regulatory and operational standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise pipeline-related activities to ensure compliance with the Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS), Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Deliver oversight and assurance that all work conducted on pipelines meets regulatory and operational standards.
  • Act as the site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for pipeline integrity matters.

You will be responsible for implementing PIM activities, communicating pipeline risks and integrity status, organizing intelligent pigging inspections, and conducting regular surveillance patrols. Your technical expertise will also involve managing cathodic protection systems, monitoring performance, identifying areas for further investigations or upgrade/repair, and providing field supervision of Contractor scheduled surveys.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in pipeline design, integrity, inspection, or asset management within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Materials and Corrosion) degree and/or API 570 certification.
  • Chartered Engineer with IEAust or equivalent is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to represent the company professionally to various external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience supervising third-party or external contractors, including managing scopes of work and ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.
  • Strong safety culture and understanding of HSE requirements in field and operational environments.
