Job Title: Advanced Recreation Officer

About this role:

  • We are seeking a motivated and compassionate professional to lead the delivery of recreational and diversional programs that support recovery and enhance wellbeing of consumers.

Your key responsibilities:

  • You will design, deliver and evaluate therapeutic recreational and diversional activity programs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain safe supervision of recreational activities while complying with relevant systems, legislation and reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with community agencies, volunteers and service providers to enhance access to recreation and leisure resources.

About you:

  • You have an Advanced Certificate in Disability Studies or equivalent qualification.
  • You demonstrate ability to provide a wide range of therapeutic interventions and tailor programs to individual needs.
  • You show strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • You develop well-managed time, organisational and documentation skills to deliver safe, high-quality services.
